We all know that with the warmer weather it is important to stay hydrated. At the moment it is especially important as dehydration may lower your immunity. It can also affect your food intake. If you are thirsty, you may mistake the signals from your body as hunger and end up reaching for food, instead of water.
If you feel hungry between meals, try drinking a glass of water then waiting 15 minutes before eating anything.
Another reason to drink water: Being slightly dehydrated can lower your metabolism, making it harder to lose weight. If you drink 8 or more 8oz glasses of water a day you burn more calories than if you only drink 4 glasses. Discover more, try our ebook: Boost your metabolism and burn more fat.
Why not keep a bottle of water on your desk or in your kitchen or sitting room and sip from it throughout the day. If you don’t like water, try jazzing it up with cucumber, mint, lemon or other fruit.
